Gianguido Girotti new Nautor Swan CEO
Nautor Swan has recently appointed (with effect from June 2026) as CEO Gianguido Girotti, who brings extensive international experience across both the sailing and motor yachting sectors, with a strong track record in product development, brand positioning, and global commercial expansion.
I deeply pleased that the actual CEO, Giovanni Pomati, will continue to support the Swan brand, with a particular focus on fostering the growth of ClubSwan, which represents one of the core values of the Swan world.
I remember with deep affection and gratitude the nearly two-year period (2019–2021) during which I worked in Jakobstad, at the Nautor shipyard, for Juan Kouyoumdjian Naval Architecture, on the design and construction of the Club Swan 125 Skorpios, alongside Giovanni.
During the pandemic, Giovanni chose to remain in Finland to personally oversee the shipyard, ensuring that the Nautor team was supported through a time of profound uncertainty.
Throughout that period, Giovanni was not only a true professional mentor to me, but also an important personal point of reference, particularly during the demanding final stages of the Club Swan 125 Skorpios.

Sharing information on maintenance providers
Starting in 2026, and following the same practice as the S&S Classic Swan Association, we will publish all reports submitted by our members regarding good and poor-quality maintenance providers.
Reports should be concise, factual, include the date and location of the works performed, and be signed by the SCBF member submitting them.
Our association is expanding:
We have new members joining the association, in particular the Swan 51-20 Cartouche.
We have invited the Owners, Dino & Raffaele Noris, to share some thoughts with us.
Here there are!
<<Why become the owner of a Swan Classico? For those who, like my son and I, love to give and receive emotions, as a need for self-expression and escape, the choice could only fall on what I consider a work of art.
First of all, the choice of the Nautor Shipyard, a legendary shipyard where carpenters and engineers work side by side, ensuring obsessive attention to detail. Then the identification of the size that could best suit me and our family considering their respective expectations and dreams. And the choice fell on the 1982 Swan 51F, hull no. 20, with the name "Cartouche", winner in the Swan Class of the Giraglia 2005.
For us, it means owning a piece of nautical history. It is the first model from the Nautor Swan shipyard designed by German Frers, marking the legendary transition from the pencil of Sparkman & Stephens to that of the Argentine architect. An icon of design and performance. In the 80s, fiberglass hulls were made with thicknesses that are unthinkable today.
This boat offers structural solidity and safety on the open sea superior to many contemporary "production" boats, guaranteeing real and uncompromising ocean capabilities.
Elegance and Seaworthiness
Timeless lines: The low and sleek profile is a trademark of Frers, capable of combining elegant aesthetics with sailing performance that is still exciting today.
Comfort while sailing: unlike modern flat hulls that "beat" on the wave, the Swan 51F has a V-shaped hull that cuts through the water, offering a soft and dry passage on the wave.
Excellent craftsmanship
The interiors of the Finnish shipyard Nautor of those years are renowned for the use of precious woods and handcrafted finishes that today are only found on luxury custom yachts.
We didn't just buy a boat, but a nautical art object capable of facing any sea with a style that will never go out of fashion. Here is a special combination between our human dimension, our passion for the sea, navigation and the means that can allow us to live a dream.
And just as for us art is a vital need to express oneself and acts as a language to elaborate emotions, personal experiences and interpret the world combined with the need to escape and escape from reality, then what better than living everything on a special sailing boat with which to escape from reality, Cartouche as a precious flying carpet that resurrects our creativity and desire to live adventurously ....
We searched carefully among some Swan51Fs until the choice fell on Cartouche. The previous owner had carefully updated, rationalized and modified the deck maneuvres so that it could be driven with a reduced crew without changing its identity and performance. And we tried to bring her back to her "ancient" glories by treating her as a lover of other times.
There is no part of it that has not been maintained with the utmost attention and care.
For ten years Cartouche has led us to almost every corner of the Mediterranean, allowing us to complete a puzzle, which is not only geographical, but also cultural, social and artistic. Its harmony has magically helped to add new inspiration to our artistic vein.
Thousands and thousands of miles every year of dreams lived in an ideal context. An alchemy dreamed of, sublimated and realized between the wings of a swan named Cartouche.
And I find it difficult here to be able to explain the emotion I feel when on the quay they ask me fascinated, but is this a Swan? Yes, it's a Swan and I'm fully proud of it!!
